London’s best kept secret…not any more

Now then, I have had my fair share of facials, I’ve had more”treatments” than you can shake a stick at. I even got a facial for my 18th bday as my gift into womanhood…it was a total let down, I walked out of the salon red faced and shiny from the exfoliation. It wasn’t great. Since then, I’ve tried several more & although I’ve found some of them relaxing, tbh, as a knackered mama, I’d have paid to lie down in a darkened room with some whale music for half an hour, facial or not, so the facial could have been utter rubbish and I’d just have been grateful for the 20 minutes shut eye. They all just seemed, so generic, so impersonal and often a hard sell, an exercise in trying to get you to buy £300 worth of “Must Have” products.

This year I turned 42 and although I’ve always looked after my skin, it’s starting to show signs of wear and tear and I wanted to find a really good Facialist, someone who would just “get’ my skin. Someone, who, would do a bespoke facial, give me glowing skin, take 5 years off me on 40 minutes and then give me a glass of fizz at the end….sound too good to be true? You’d have thought so right? Enter Claudia Fallah. Claudia, originally from Germany has been based here in London for over 20 years and has worked in skincare for nearly 30, she knows her stuff and is pretty much a skin Doctor. I was genuinely overwhelmed when I saw my reflection after Claudia’s handiwork. My OH thought I’d had cosmetic surgery!! Incidentally, Claudia is an amazing advert too, she is 49 but looks 39!

She is basically the Fairy God Mother of facials, my skin has NEVER looked so good and her A list clientele that reads like a who’s who of celebrity have her on speed dial, but like the true professional she is, she won’t divulge who these red carpet regulars are.

Do yourself a favour, give yourself the best facial of your life and give Claudia a visit, if you don’t like it, I’ll eat my hat. Oh and don’t even start me on the products…that’s a whole other story.IMG_4391
